Rescue Training


9151 Confined Space Rescue I

Scope and Content: This course prepares industrial emergency response personnel for rescue in and from confined space areas. Topics include identification of confined spaces, OSHA standards, use of protective equipment, atmospheric monitoring, patient packaging and removal, and assessment of confined space hazards.
Test: Written test and practical skill evaluation

Skill/Training Level: Meets requirements of OSHA 1910.146
Length: 2 days of instruction and field exercises
Prerequisite: SCBA Training
Student Enrollment: 15 minimum / 20 maximum
Course Fee: $297 - In-state, $326 - Out-of-state
(Includes lunch on both training days, breakfast on day two and double occupancy room for one night.)

9153 Confined Space Rescue Refresher Training

Scope and Content: This course provides refresher training to personnel who have previously attended confined space training. This program reviews hazards of confined spaces and the rescue techniques, and hands-on rescue evolutions in confined space props.
Test: Written test and practical skill evaluation

Skill/Training Level: OSHA 1910.146
Length: 1 day of instruction and field exercises
Prerequisite: Confined Space I or equivalent/SCBA Training

Student Enrollment: 15 minimum / 20 maximum
Course Fee: $128 - In-state, $145 - Out-of-state (includes lunch)

9165 Technical Rope Rescue

Scope and Content: This two-day course is designed to teach emergency response personnel methods of rescuing victims from above ground structures such as water towers, construction sites and high-rise structures. Topics include: basic and rigging techniques, mechanical advantage systems, raising and lowering systems and patient packaging.
Test: Written test and practical skill evaluation

Length: 2 days of instruction and field exercises
Prerequisite: none

Student Enrollment: 15 minimum / 20 maximum
Course Fee: $297 - In-state, $325 - Out-of-state

(Includes lunch on both days, breakfast on day two and double occupancy dorm room for one night.)
