The South Carolina Fire Academy is proud to offer national certification for the S.C. Fire Service through accreditation with the International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) and the National Board on Fire Service Professional Qualifications (ProBoard).
Entities achieving accreditation are recognized as having met the rigors of review by independent organizations. This third-party independent review assures candidates and governance bodies that the S.C. Fire Academy meets national standards. Accreditation also ensures uniformity of qualifications, which allows students trained and tested at the S.C. Fire Academy more mobility to or from other accredited states.
